Oh Look! More Fundraising!

I'm still hard on the fundraising kick!  The shirts have been a huge success and I can't seem to keep them in stock.  The good news is that I'm hopefully getting another batch tomorrow and then I will get some more after the AAC Nationals.  Still the Ladies smalls are hard to come by.  Sorry

The Ultimate Agility Raffle (www.TNTBorderCollies.com/CAT_2008.htm) appears to be popular and why not?  Who wouldn't want to win 50 agility runs!  I really want to buy some tickets myself, but figure it may look bad if I win...

Thanks to all of you who participated in our Funny Farm Collar fundraiser.  Not only did you help the team, but you came away with some pretty snazzy collars!

The newest fundraising venture are Pemmikan Energy bars for dogs.  Pemmikan was specialy formulated for working dogs such as gundogs, sledge dogs and working police dogs.  It is now used world wide for trialing dogs too.
The maximum daily ration needed is 100 to 200 grams depending on the size of the dog and its activity. If the dog is full of Energy, it keeps out the adverse effects of the cold and heat which helps keep its performance constant throughout the day. As a plus, it is far more attentive.
Pemmiken reduces the stress dogs encounter in dog shows and other similar situations, such as long waiting periods. It also makes the handling of the dog easier.
The effect of Pemmiken sets in after approximately 30 minutes and it reaches its full effect after approx. one hour. Because of this, it may be advantageous to split the daily ration into several small portions to keep a constant performance.
It is also an excellent product for feeding undeweight dogs without over filling the stomach.
They are 400 gram bars - a dog should get a maximum of 100 to 200 grams per day. The bar is divided into eight 50 gram pieces.

Training is going well.  I have my Worlds-Sized weaves (they are huge!) thanks to Larry and my new broad jump thanks to Nathalie.  Our running contacts were working well, but now they are pushing the limits a little bit, so we are going to resort to 2on 2off for Nationals and resume our running contact work afterwards ))

Sue Purcell is organizing a viewing of the IFCS Worlds videos at the Royal Oak in Kanata at 7:30pm tomorrow night.  Come on out to see some of the Canadian team in action!  Also I'll have energy bars, raffle tickets and possibly t-shirts on hand.
